I already knew I loved my new guild. It's a safe space, I feel comfortable being there. I know I'm giving 110% every raid night, and can count on everyone else giving the same percent of effort. It's why we're doing so well, why we have Yogg on farm status and we're working on hard modes in 10 man.

Our efforts to recruit have been successful. Last night we raided 25 man Naxx and managed to finish the entire instance in one evening. Tonight, we entered 25 man Ulduar and took out Flame Leviathan as usual, but we did not stop there like we have in the past. We one shotted Razorscale (with 16 people), XT (with 20 people) and two shotted Ignis (with 22 people).

Hi, internet! What's up?

We are in Florida! So far everyone has been super nice, the weather has mostly been beautiful, and we have been having an excellent time going to the beach, eating food, drinking, and talking constantly about fandom. Constantly. Well, sometimes we stop and talk about real life, but mostly it's fandom and how utterly ridic it is. I have yet to get totally trashed and make out with anyone, which is probably a good thing!

We saw HBP today, and without spoilers, I frigging loved it so much I can't even verbalize it. Well, okay, I have been verbalizing it, repeatedly and with great relish, but I don't feel like typing it all out. I am continually amazed at how lucky they were when casting these kids. All of them have grown into such talented, amazing, capable actors. They're amazing and WB totally lucked out. I am 100% going back, if only to see the parts I missed the three times I had to go to the bathroom. (I should have known that soda was a bad idea.)

Our other main pastime is reading badfic. Or, well, talking about the badfic that I find and read out loud. It all started when I decided I was going to write a Torchwood fic where Jack cuts himself and then weeps because the cuts heal too fast for him to linger on his pain. I searched Delicious to see if any such fic already existed, and instead found about fifty stories where Ianto has an eating disorder. (And one where he's anemic, which is apparently now an eating disorder.) We have now looked up all manner of badfic in both Torchwood and SGA. Only the best bits get read out loud, like the story where John apparently had some sickness that gave him an eating disorder, so Rodney saved him by having sex with him. Also, Rodney cried when John told him he loved him.

Mostly this vacation has made me want to write fic, some legitimate and some... not. GUESS WHICH IS WHICH!

I saw that this was posted quickly as an extra link by kemica , but I think it got lost in the rest of her post and screen shot and I really think this little vid would be appreciated by a lot more of you ladies.

It's a anime style chinese wow vid (with subtitles after the intro music) and tells the story of a Lvl 15 tauren and his woes in the Barrens.


Lots of cuteness and lots of recognizable wowness, for me this video had me literally rolling on the floor, or at least laughing so loud that my boyfriend was giving me weird looks.

So I found out today the group I usually do raids with, when I'm able to these days, is thinking about doing 10 man 3 drakes. I had suggested it months ago, because I wanted to learn it and get the achievement, but back then they said they weren't into the hardcore things and didn't really care, one of my healer friends today said that yes they may do it. My issue, which I don't think is fair to the others who also worked towards it should they go, is that the guild leader of their small guild and who is our MT/healer Pally's wife has basically said no one's rolling out the mount and that she gets it because she's the guild leader. 2 issues with this actually, I'm not even sure if she was serious, but it wouldn't surprise me as she loves getting mounts. 1 was I thought they did away with those mounts in a patch? I knew they had taken some mounts out of the game, but wasn't sure which ones. and 2 as I stated before, I don't feel this is even fair to anyone else, I don't even care if I'm there or not, it just seems very selfish to me. Can anyone tell me what mounts they did take out? I knew they left achievements for whatever it was though.

Also is this something I should bother even bringing up to her, or just let whatever happens happen as its not my business??

This comes a little late but I wanted to thank everyone who helped on my last post asking for pointers on Holy Paladin raid healing. I have since successfully healed OS10 0 drake & 25 VoA. :D

But today I come with a little SQUEE action. I am by no definition a hardcore raider and probably casual to the max but I do like to see myself in better gear but, mostly, I play with my IRL friends and we hit up heroics like they're going out of style.

About 20 minutes ago we finally stepped into Ahn'ket as it was mainly me not wanting to heal it that prevented us from trying it. Now, I've been on my hunter and we wiped on almost every pull but that was also back when expansion first came out.

After 3 wipes we managed Volunteer Work!!

We went in with Prot Warrior, Ret Paladin x2, Holy Paladin (me) & Blood DK. If you'll notice, we have a dk and paladin dead. :/ The remaining paladin had gone holy since the first 2 wipes our tank got 2 shot. So we were 2 healers and a tank trying to kill her after the first servant, which when our other 2 members died. >_< One shot by who knows what.

And last week Hadranox Denied. :D

I'm getting the hang of this healing thing.

Geek chic revisited or astronautical authenticity? There was simply no way of guessing. But now the time for speculation is done.

Yes, today was the day that we finally got to see alasdair on the plinth!

As for the OTHER sartorial revelation of the day, it does rather pale in comparison, but I am nonetheless delighted to note that both sets of footwear are clearly displayed, thus rendering my future icon-making activities (and yes, there WILL be future icon-making activities) just that little bit easier. Hi ladies! /wave

I *finally* dinged 80 for the first time ever on Sunday morning! /glee! It was sort of anti-climatic, it was doing an AT daily >_> But my boyfriend helped me run heroics all evening and we're doing some more tonight :) I got 6-7 pieces of decent heroic gear, and I think my DPS (though low compared to geared standards!) isn't too bad based on the fact I have only been 80 for a few days!

If it's not too much to ask, though, I wouldn't mind some advice on which pieces of gear to look for/upgrades (either crafted or heroic-drops). I've got plenty of guildies who are willing to run me through heroics/craft me gear (which isn't so much the issue, as is the mats), and my boyfriend is even eyeing up a dagger to make for me so I've got something to get me started.

My armory is here, and I know 4-5 of my pieces are still quest items but hopefully tonight some of those will be replaced. I know my hit is low and I'm going to start looking at gear to get me capped/close to capped, and I've recently been informed that I should be stacking spirit instead of stamina (which is what I'd been doing until now) so I'm working on both of those but as far as gear goes at the moment I'm on a few quest greens/blues and a large handful of recently-acquired heroic gear (thank God for Uld geared 80s who love me!).

I guess what I'm asking is: what pieces of gear can I get my max-leveled tailors to make for me (I am a tailor myself, so I can make some of the mats for the gear I need), or what heroics should I be running to get some gear upgrades? I know I'm going to have to see Naxx-25 soon, and probably Uld10 as a result, but ... yeah.

Help would be MUCH appreciated. I'm Ench/Tailor and my boyfriend is BS/JC so getting gems/enchs/weapons/gear isn't really a problem... I just need to know what I should be /drool-ing over and /beg-ging for! :)

Ok, so I'm a dork and cannot remember the name said random person number A in Wow told me, but I am looking for either a profession add on or a leather working specific add on that has a spiffy ability to tell me how many patterns ??/totalingame I have and I want it. If you know of it, I would love you for life. The completest in me must know if I have them all, because I am tired of farming/buying patterns in my quest to have the most complete leather working pattern set evar! ^_^;

I know someone who is desperately seeking the +30 spellpower enchant on the Eonar server.  Is there anyone here on Eonar who has this?  He is talking about transferring a character to another server and back again to get it, and that just seems like such waste of money.

So...I've been working on getting my little fire mage's gear upgraded.
My hit is not capped, but it's so much better than it was (0), spellpower
and the like have all been improved immensely.
I had the opportunity to go to Naxx25.  I was pretty excited, I wanted to
see how well my gear and spell rotation would do in a raid setting.

And...that's as far as it went.
My connection wasn't great yesterday, and I DCd on the first trash pull.
And the second.
And several times during the first boss.
Needless to say, I think I got maybe 4 casts off.  It's not my computers -
I've tried my Mac and PC, and I'm hoping it's just the latency.
I'm on wireless because I live in the country - and they have so many
people using the service that it gets really horrible at certain times of the
day..mostly weekend, now.  My sister has the same problem with 25 man
raids, too.  Granted, we are on the same connection, so I'm 95% sure that's
where the problem lies.  I tried dialing down my video effects in the game
down to the lowest possible setting and nothing changed. 
I finally apologized for wasting everyone's time and ported out the first
time I had the chance.

Has anyone else run into troubles like this?  I do know my latency was higher
than usual, could that be the only problem?
I'd love to try again, because I'd hate for all of this work getting gear
and upping my toon's hit rating and spellpower to be for nothing.
But at the same time, I don't want to waste a whole raid's time by running
into the same situation again.

Should I just forget about raiding?
Help!!  :)
