I play a level 80 Pally on Firetree server. I'm ToC 25 man geared, and our guild does amazingly well for how young it is. I'm the next in line for "officer-hood" as we call it. I've been with Apathy for a while now, and do my best to make our raids fun & worthwhile.
Recently we started the discussion of who will get "Shadowmourne" first in the guild... However I really feel that it should be based on who is not only a good player but a good guild member.
What are your thoughts on how a legendary should be given ownership? What makes a good guildy to you guys?
I could use the feedback before I voice my opinion.
I recently got my Sham to 80, And is now farming for Epix.
Just a question, But is Going Heals at 80 better than Ele Dps?
I prefer Ele Dps as I leveled with it, & My main is Resto dr00d, But I have no Idea how to Dps tbh. He is Dual specc'd as Resto, But healing is quite hard on him.

Any comments on how I should be speccing/playing etc. do Post :)
After the events that have unfolded this week, I feel like I should toss out a little reminder. There will be a prize at the end of the post, I promise.
The Casual vs Hardcore Debate Is Old Meme
No, really. If you make a post in which you demean someone's raiding style or faction or any other extension of how they play this game, it is going to make a mess. People will be offended and mods will have headaches and the general fun and excitement we try to encourage in the community gets sucked right out. It is exhausting to watch this topic get hashed and rehashed.
I don't want to baby anybody, but please think before you post things. The best thing to keep in mind is that we have players from across the globe. There are people who have yet to get past level 60 and have an account full of alts. We have people who get world first achievements and boss kills.
It is important to recognize that saying "hey guys hardcore raiders have no lives and raiding is easy and anyone who says otherwise is not good at this game because I can do it while also doing cartwheels" is not the same as saying "I don't personally find raiding challenging enough and therefore do not participate". Think before you post, that is all we're asking.
And now your prize:
I hate feeling like I've accomplished fucking /nothing/.
I hate when things get stopped midway through.
I hate that there're only 24 hours in a day.
I hate my fucking ovaries.
Good night.
Today I made a sale, submitted my Stanford application, conducted a group interview, went to a mixer for educational therapists, psychologists, and assessment professionals in the area, and still had energy leftover for grocery shopping with
twitchylizard when I got home.
ENERGY! I have energy again! It's amazing!

First of all, I would like to state for the record that I just had the night from hell. Quite literally, in fact. I'm fairly certain that Lucifer himself showed up for a little while in the form of an especially aggravating customer.
Now for my question. My current work schedule is as follows:
Tonight: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Tomorrow: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Saturday: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Sunday: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Monday: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Tuesday: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
Wednesday: night shift, not closing but will probably be there until the restaurant is closed anyway because the scheduled closing server is an idiot. (Should be home sometime between 10pm and 11pm.)
Thursday: morning shift, opening server. (Must be at work by 6am.)
Friday: morning shift, opening server. (Must be at work by 6am.)
* Friday night:
doodlebuggey88 and Whitney are spending the night, and we plan to stay up most of the night watching TV/movies and plotting world domination before Whitney graduates college the following week, I move off to Washington D.C. in January, and Laura... well, gets stuck back at my former college for awhile longer because she waited until she was a junior to decide that, hey, maybe being a history major would be a good idea.
Saturday: night shift, closing server. (Should be home sometime between 11:00pm and midnight.)
My question is this:

My baby Shaman, Phaba, is going to ding 80 tomorrow! She's my first hordie to make it to 80 and I am incredibly excited. She's at about 12 days /played, which crazily enough is 8 days less than my NElf druid was at 70. Yay efficiency.
So, once baby Shaman is leveled up the I want her to be resto, in an effort to semi gear for it I respecced elemental at 70. I've been mostly dps-ing (Lavaburst + FlameShock=Yayness.)
Questions/help/Interaction:
A. What's a good addon to auto screenshot the ding?
2. What's a decent ele shaman rotation? Mine is currently Flameshock->LavaBurst->Lightning boltx3 Repeat, what can I do better?
III. Here's my Armory, I know my spec is kind of FUBAR, so any advice would be fantastic.
D. What is good healing strategery for a shaman? It's been kind of riptide, chain heals, and Minor healing waves, I know there's gotta be something better.
5. I hadn't even thought about this but as per
kawee_kiwi: GLYPHS! Which should I have? For resto/for ele?
Thank you, I know this is kind of all over the place, but any help/advice makes Claudia a happy girl.

First, my baby hunter finally dinged 50! \o/ Only eight more levels until Outlands and ten more levels until a devilsaur (which I can hopefully tame solo), if I calculated right. Why is it that the levels 45-58 are some of the most boring/hardest levels to get through? It's like an epic battle to ding 58. :/
Second, I'm still not sure if I'm playing my death knight the best that I can. When I solo, I can get up to 1900-2000 DPS, but in a group it's like I'm barely pulling 1000. *sigh* Is there anything that looks like I can improve upon?
Third, I've updated my DK blog enough to finish the starting quests. I'm still looking for any other DK's who are new to the class or have 10 of them for posting help. You just need an email address, I think. I have to play around with that. The more DK's the better I say! :D
Fourth, you know you play WoW too much when you see road work and think "They must be doing massive DPS to the road!"

So, when I converted my two accounts to Battle.net, I think that I converted the second account first.
What this seems to mean in practice is that everytime I try to post on the official forums it defaults to Mazovie my 67 paladin...
While she is the 'main' on the second acct, she is my 4th toon overall...
Changing toons in the options only lasts for that login session.
Does anyone know where I could permanently set my default poster to my main toon Jawbone?
If no one knows anyway to accomplish this, where do the fine folks of
wow_ladies think I should ask Blizzard to fix this issue?
(in game? battle.net site? forums? elsewhere?)
Hello Ladies (and Gents). I have a query for you. Today I got bored of leveling my 78 Pally and rolled a human alt just for fun. One of the things that struck me while I was there was how MANY rogues there were. I'd never paid attention to it before but I've never seen many rogues in the higher levels. Or Shamans for that matter.
Basically I was wondering what do you think is the least played class, race, spec or combination of the three?
On a side note, I don't think I ever see non-druid Taurens much either...

This is so totally your fault,
crickets.
So, yeah. I dropped a whine on
sisabet's The Vidder Poor Me Meme. Come forth and stroke my ego :P lol Maybe it'll get my ass in gear...or if not, at least it'll give me the warm and fuzzies. Or you could always empathize, too, that'll make me feel like less of a douche for being a fail!vidder.

So lots of people on my f-list offering Christmas cards and presents and such. This makes me hopelessly excited! Not because I want lots of cards – though cards are coolio – but because I am a total gift-giving addict and card-making fiend, and I MUST get in on the action.
SO HAVE A POLL. Not an LJ poll, because I am cross-posting this, but a gdocs poll. It works the same way and everything, just I get all the results consolidated into one awesome Christmas spreadsheet!
GO HERE TO FILL OUT A SHORT XMAS POLL!
And guys? Go on, you know you want to! I don't care if we haven't even spoken before. Don't even care if you're not on my f-list. It'll make me happy to have cards to make/drabbles to write/surprise presents to wrap!

Well, I just made the switch from Alliance to Horde on my warlock. It's kind of bittersweet I guess, I have never had a high level horde toon before, but I've always played Alliance so it's all very confusing to me. I'm learning how to get places, which is taking a while, and I do kind of miss my lock's sexy human body.
( Before and After )
So far, I haven't lashed out against my enemies Alliance side yet, but I did run into someone by K3 that was just asking to be feared into the minefield... So I did it, and I laughed, and then I apologized later, and /tease and /clapped at him, and I'm assuming he understood that I wasn't going to do it again, I promise.
Also, I was wondering if anyone knows of some nice laid back guilds that me and the boy can join, hordeside on Frostmane. We're lonely, we came from a good friendly guild that's run by an IRL friend of mine, and yea... :( Don't like being lonely. Thanks!
TL;DR
Just switched from Alliance to Hordeside on Frostmane. Woo!
( Also here's a drawing I did, so I don't have to make another post. )

Rupert stretched his shoulders, working out a kink between his shoulders. He really had been studying far too much lately. He smiled as he walked into the kitchen. Hopefully all that would change tomorrow. If all went well, he would be too busy this weekend to even go near a book. He hoped that some of the women from the last Shag the Librarian Day would be back this time. They really were amazing women.
He poured himself some juice and was just considering a shower when his phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Rupert? It's Laura."
"Yes dear, what can I do for you?" he asked with a smile.
"I'm just calling to make sure we are still on for tomorrow."
"I am prepared if you are."
"We are." He could hear the smile in her voice. "Now, we open for business first thing tomorrow and stories should go up until next Tuesday or so."
"That sounds good," he responded, nodding. "Do you know how many people will be participating?"
"We don't. It's an open comm, so anyone can post without joining. Of course, if they want to join, they can go to http://community.livejournal.com/giles_
"And they can just post their stories when they are ready?" Rupert asked.
"They can," Laura responded. "We are open for the whole weekend and up through Tuesday for those who need extra time."
"Very good," Rupert said. "So I will be seeing you and Ann tomorrow?"
"You will. And hopefully everyone else too. So get some rest tonight, love."
"I will do that and I will see you tomorrow."

Shag the Librarian Day starts tomorrow. All you need to do to post a story is to just put it up here. If you have any questions, just e-mail me at Laurtew@Yahoo.com or Ann at annoleary@btinternet.com.
